The Arecibo Effect was first conceived for Aurora Festival, Norwich 2009, the work was performed and live scored by The McKenzie Break as part of the festival. In 2014 the film was re-edited into Arecibo B and performed with an improvisational score as part of an eclectic evening of film and live music. The film remains silent as no recordings have been made of the two performances.
